I knew when I was creating our spring/summer scents I had to have one that was focused on slowing down and really being in the moment; that's what Sunlit Pages is ultimately about. I wanted to pay homage to that open-window feeling you get in the early summer, when flowers are just beginning to bloom and all seems right with the world because the sun is out again. As odd as it sounds, I was inspired by the way a cat will follow the sun shining in through the window. That's the sort of lazy, presentness I wanted to invoke with this scent.

Scent Breakdown

This candle is a complex blend of scents that are meant to inspire feelings of calm on a sunny day. It opens with top notes of pear, agave, and orange, which lend a lightness to the scent reminiscent of a summer day spent outside. Next, the middle notes include cotton blossom, rose, marine, cherry blossom, and coconut; these help to lighten the scent so it's delicately balanced between fruity and floral, while also giving it a summer vibe. Finally, the candle is grounded by base notes of powder, wood, and amber. These base notes serve to tie everything together and give it a depth and warmth that you experience on the best kind of sunny day.
