My name is Mackenzie and I'm the maker behind The TBR Collection! I've been making candles for more than 10 years (which feels a little crazy!) and have been an adamant book lover my entire life. We're all about clean-burning scents--no candle induced headaches here! It's been a dream come true to create book-inspired scents that readers can feel good about burning in their homes.
About The TBR Collection
At The TBR Collection, we prioritize clean-burning candles. I originally started making candles because I kept getting candle induced headaches. When I looked into what goes into the typical candle, I was horrified to find things like phthalates, petroleum by-products, and other toxic ingredients. I knew I wanted to do something different, so I started looking into healthier options.
We chose 100% soy wax, because it's clean burning, has no smoke or soot, and has no petroleum by-products. It's made with soy beans grown in the USA. We also use fragrances that have candle-safe essential oils in their make-up. We only use fragrance oils that go above industry standards for safety, so you'll never find things like phthalates, paraffin, or lead-wicks in our products.
